Boys & Girls Club
The Boys & Girls Club of North Central Illinois offers after-school services to Fearn, Freeman, Greenman, Goodwin, Hill, and McCleery elementary schools, in addition to Herget Middle School. At the Club, we aim for each youth member to have fun in a safe environment, while fostering supportive relationships with staff and peers, exposing youth to unique program opportunities, and recognizing members for their efforts and accomplishments.
The Basics:
-
Our program features a low-to-no cost membership free structure, providing sliding scale fees to ensure that all students interested in participating are able to join. Approximately 80% of families are eligible to participate in our programs for free.
-
Elementary programs at Fearn, Freeman Greenman, Goodwin, Hill, and McCleery are offered daily from dismissal until 6:00pm, Monday through Friday, on days when school is in session.
-
Close-to-home evening transportation is provided for 1st through 5th grade students at 4:30pm.
-
In an effort to ensure student safety of our youngest students, kindergarteners are not eligible to receive evening transportation. Instead, we kindly ask that parents or guardians pick them up directly from our Club location. Our program concludes daily at 6:00 P.M., providing ample time for caregivers to arrive and collect their children.
-
Herget Middle School's program is offered on Fridays from dismissal until 6:00pm.
-
Close-to-home evening transportation is provided for Herget Middle School students at 5:15pm.
-
A 1:15 staff-to-student ratio is maintained to ensure that members get the support and attention needed from our team of youth development professionals.
-
Nutritious snacks are provided daily after school.
